Radio KLFM was established in 1989 to provide Bendigo and central Victoria with a station that caters for those aged over 55.

Programs are presented by fully trained broadcasters, offering the Bendigo Community professional broadcasting.

KLFM was central Victoria's Australia Remembers station during the 50th Anniversary of WWII

Radio KLFM has won five national media awards for Programming, Documentaries and Broadcasting, and in 1996 & 2007 won the State Government’s Office of Fair Trading, Regional Community Award for "Excellence in Customer and Community Service".

On Australia day, 1998, KLFM commenced 24 hour transmissions which can be heard on 96.5 FM Bendigo and 106.3 in Castlemaine.

KLFM operates from offices and studios located in Golden Square.

Aaaaaa, jangan tukar stesen radio, rupa-rupanya di Austalia pun ada stesen radio yang menggunakan nama KLFM jugak. Tengok kat logo stesen, ada gambar burung, ingatkan gambar kangaroo, maklumkan negara Australia memang banyak kangaroo, lain la kalu kat KL nie banyak burung gagak (lokasi spesifik di belakang parkir di Lanai Seni) hehehe!
